This programme is for team leaders and first line managers or individuals aspiring to these roles.
What aspect of business skills and knowledge does the programme as a whole deliver?
The programme is designed to introduce the four core business skills todays' managers require to become more effective at managing both themselves and their team. Managers develop their skills and confidence benefiting the business from the first workshop. This means that employers benefit immediately as learning is transferred delivering measurable benefits and return on investment in a time and cost efficient format.

How long is the programme?
The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management programme runs one day a month over four months.
What are the workshop times?
The workshops for this programme will commence at 9.30am and conclude at 4.00pm. This enables participants to maximise their learning outcomes with the flexibility of a shorter working day.
Where is the workshop delivered?
The workshop will be held at our training headquarters in Collivaud House, Collivaud Place, Ocean Way, Cardiff. (follow this link for a map and public transport information.)
Who delivers the programme?
The programme is delivered by experienced tutors who have real world business experience and are up to date on the latest research, theories and business issues.
What type of workshop materials will I receive?
Every participant will receive a detailed Learning Resource Manual (LRM). The LRM includes all of the information covered in the workshop including space to make notes. This means that you can concentrate on the activities, information and discussion as all the information that you need is provided. No PowerPoint printouts here! The detailed LRM enables you to revisit the workshop content to refresh your skills in the future. For participants who are completing Institute of Leadership & Management qualifications the LRM have been designed to follow the structure of the assignment which means that by following the structure of the LRM participants have all the information they require to complete the assignment.
How much does it cost?
The full ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management programme cost is £663 which requires completion of the four Leadership & Management Skills workshops and two assessments. With 70% funding for SMEs the cost is only £199 + vat. With 50% funding for large private sector £332 + vat.
What does the cost include?
The cost includes a detailed Learning Resource Manual (LRM). For participants completing Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) qualifications, all qualification and certification costs are included. Plus, six months' trial membership of ILM will grant you access to a range of resources and services designed to support your learning and development.
During the workshop a range of refreshments are available e.g. water, fruit juice, tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh fruit. A delicious and generous buffet is also provided which can be tailored to any specific dietary requirements.
Will I be eligible for funding?
If you are a Private or Third Sector business based in Wales you will be eligible for up to 70% funding. As long as the organisation is not funded by a public sector grant it is classed as a business. Also, when organisations have a contract with The Welsh Government which they won in response to a tender call they are not viewed as a public sector organisation and so are eligible for funding. A Public Sector organisation is an organisation that receives 50% or more of its core funding from a public body.
I'm eligible for funding what level of funding will I receive?
70% funding for SME's, an SME is defined as a Small or Medium Enterprise which has less than 250 employees, a turnover that does not exceed 50 million Euros and a balance sheet less than 43 million Euros or is not owned by, or controlled by an enterprise that does not meet the SME criteria.
50% funding for large private sector organisations that exceed the SME criteria.

The next step after this programme is progression to the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management. This qualification can be undertaken as part of our bespoke programme as a progression from the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management.
